Transporter started in 2014 in Maadi with a handful of employees and no complicated operations — one of many couriers responding to a fast-growing e-commerce market that Egypt’s delivery infrastructure hadn’t caught up to yet. Coordinating drivers, managing delivery jobs in real time, communicating order status to merchants, and handling the operational complexity of urban delivery at scale couldn’t be done without a purpose-built technology platform. Without one, operations defaulted to phone calls and manual job assignment — a bottleneck for a business trying to grow past its earliest days.

WebOps built the full technology platform for Transporter’s operations: driver coordination, delivery job management, merchant-facing systems, and real-time order status infrastructure — the complete operational backbone for a last-mile logistics business, built to scale alongside the company as it grew.

Transporter was able to launch and operate a digital last-mile delivery service at a time when that infrastructure barely existed in Egypt — and has since grown from a handful of employees in Maadi into a courier business covering Cairo and Alexandria. The engagement gave WebOps deep domain fluency in logistics operations and e-commerce infrastructure — knowledge that has directly informed subsequent work across distribution and operations clients.
