The Challenge

As the Egyptian Food Bank grew into a national hunger-relief operation moving significant donor funds and reaching millions of beneficiaries, it faced a challenge common to organizations at that scale: donors, partners, and the public had no direct way to see where the money went, how many people it reached, or what impact it had. Trust in an NGO depends heavily on transparency, and without a public reporting mechanism, EFB had no structured way to show its work in numbers rather than just describe it.

What We Built

WebOps built the Right to Know (RTK) platform: a public transparency dashboard breaking down beneficiary demographics, the partner network (CBOs, FreeMart locations, elderly homes, nurseries, schools, and volunteers), governorate-by-governorate coverage across Egypt, full program expenditure, and impact stories for specific interventions such as Vitamin D supplementation and infant nutrition support. It is bilingual in Arabic and English and backed by an annual report, and was handed over to the Egyptian Food Bank's own team on completion, in line with WebOps' standard practice of full source-code and ownership transfer.

The Impact

As of its most recent reporting period (July 2025—June 2026), the Right to Know platform publicly reports more than 6.8 million beneficiaries tracked, over EGP 1.4 billion in program expenditure published transparently, and 474,000+ food boxes distributed through the Protection Platform, equivalent to more than 79.3 million meals. Instead of static annual reports, the Egyptian Food Bank now has a living dashboard that any donor, partner, or member of the public can check at any time, giving a real-time answer to the question every donor eventually asks: where does the money go, and who does it reach?
